By Jane Day    Date released:  14th October 2014
Desserts are one of the last experiences a diner has of your pub or restaurant - if you make it a good one, you'll keep them coming back again and again.

Choices are very important when designing a dessert menu as, for some strange reason, not everyone likes chocolate! Make sure you've got a variety of hot & cold, fruity & chocolatey, and healthy & naughty desserts to help entice as many palates as possible.

Desserts are a prime example of 'eating with your eyes', they're not the main attraction at a meal but an additional treat, so make sure it's a treat for all the senses. Keep it simple and elegant, maybe with a chocolate swirl, a dusting of icing sugar or a tasty sauce.

Then you need to entice your customers. Create some visually stunning dessert menus with the help of our All About Food Book, with mouth watering pictures of your desserts to persuade them to stay for that extra course. Maybe you could create some promotions to get customers trying your new menu, 2 for 1 on desserts is usually a popular offer, or perhaps a free coffee with it?

To help you get the ball rolling, here are a couple of great tasting, easy to prepare fruity deserts from our free All About Food Book, that would look great on any dessert menu. These lines, and plenty more catering supplies can be picked up from Booker Wholesale, in branch, and online.
