American Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, when the United States declared independence from the United In modern times, Independence Day is a national holiday in the US, often associated with patriotic displays of fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs and picnics.

4th July 2014 falls on a Friday, and provides pubs with a great opportunity to create a themed event to draw in the crowds. Flags could be hung in your venue, with special menus made up to celebrate - easy, tasty food, highlighted on internal and external blackboards is bound to be a winner.
